3.1. (1)Why are the students filled with such anger at the beginning of the movie? Do you think their anger is reasonable?
3.1.1. Answer: They think that their life are bad and they accuse the people that they're not like them. Their anger is reasonable because they're living in a bad world with a lot of difficulties, they lost people, they got shot a lot of time, and they're living in misery.
3.2. (2) Why are the students so unwilling to associate with anyone outside their ethnic/racial groups? Where does this intolerance come from?
3.2.1. Answer: Because they think the other races are different and in their gang, it have on or two races and they other races are they enemies. They can leave their gang and if someone in their gang hate someone, they need to hate him because they're solidary.
3.3. (3) Why aren’t Ms. Gruwell’s students motivated to succeed in school? What outside factors affect their ability to learn?
3.3.1. Answer: Because they already have too many problem outside the school and they know that they can have a real job with all these problems. In all their battle, if they die and they study a lot, they did that for nothing. They have a lot of risk to die.

3.4.1. Answer: I think that they think they will die before 18 years old because they make a lot of gang battle and everybody have a gun so they have a lot of chances to die.

4.1.1. Answer: No, because compared to them, we know that everybody is similar. If I was blind and my friend is a black, I will not see the difference. And they're is not problems like in this school because we are lucky to live in this condition, we live in excellent conditions.

4.2.1. Answer: Erin Gruwell have compasion for these students so she try to help them. Some students didn't want to talk to other races because they didn't want to betray their gang and they continu to think that they're different.
