1. What % use Windows? 90%
1.1. Pros: Install is quick, easy, and painless. After working through a few wizard screens at the beginning, the install is automatic.
1.2. Cons: Not compatible with older computers.
1.3. Focus on Windows 7
2. Linux: Open Source, Free
2.1. Pros: Free! Option to try before you install using the Live CD feature. Easily install as a dual boot or even inside Windows Wubi installer.
2.2. Cons: Unless you're luck to get a CD, you do not have to mess about with .ISO and burn a disk.
3. Apple, OSX, Leopard
3.1. Pros: Can perform tasks more simply. Harldy gets viruses and rarely freeze.
3.2. Cons: Expensive. Some systems cannot run on this system.
4. Definition
4.1. What does it do? An operating system performs basic functions such as recognizing input from a keyboard, opening applications, and deleting files. Some more complex operating systems can even go as far as making sure applications don't interfere with each other.

5.1. Which one do you have? My LG Voyager uses the operating system BREW.
5.2. Which are the major Smartphone operating systems? Major smartphone operating systems include Symbian OS, iPhone OS, RIM's BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Linux, Palm WebOS, and Android.
