Drew Started out after college illustrating Album Covers. At 1977 he would make 150.00 - 250.00 per cover ($600 - $1000 in 2017 dollars).

1977 Drew got a request to help on the Star Wars 1978 re-release poster, The Circus poster as it has come to be known.

The unique poster design, popularly called the \"Circus\" poster, depicts what appears to be a torn posted bill on a plywood construction site wall. \"It was necessity that invented that,\" Struzan explains. \"They found out there wasn\'t enough room for the typography and the billing block they had left in the design. What can we do to make more space on a poster that\'s already been printed? Let\'s pretend it\'s posted, then they can put the type below the actual poster.

Throughout the late 1970s and 1980s Struzan produced ten movie poster illustrations a year on top of his other work. Struzan has painted over 150 movie posters

The 1990s and 2000s saw a move to digital imagery for movie posters causing a decline of traditionally illustrated poster art. Struzan started to explore other avenues for his artwork, comic book covers, Parker brothers cover art for Clue, over 30 US postage stamps, and a blossoming secondary market for his original paintings especially in Japan.
