1. The 4 C's
1.1. Creativity
1.1.1. Thinking of ideas/solutions and designing them. Exploring all options and refining until the idea works.
1.2. Critical thinking
1.2.1. Finding different solutions to problems using analysis, reasoning and interpretation of information.
1.3. Collaboration
1.3.1. Working in a group/team. Being able to share your thought process with others but also listening to others thought processes. Combining ideas, solutions and thoughts to solve a problem or answer a question.
1.4. Communication
1.4.1. Being able to explain your ideas and thought processes and sharing your unique point of view but also listening to others. Discussing differences with respect
2. Impact on education
2.1. We must move away from a production line system of education and create free thinkers and explorers. Children who are so intrested in something that they try to find answers to questions and solutions to problems because they want to.
2.2. We cant keep trying to fill our children's heads with knowledge. They can use technology for this. We must teach them the skills that they need to be useful. Skills that technology has not caught up to yet.
3. 4IR
3.1. Where the physical, digital and biological worlds come together.
3.2. People can not compete with machines. We have to teach children something that machines cant do.
3.3. The 4IR is causing the skills that employers look for in a candidate to change. They need people who can adapt as fast as technology is adapting and merging with our everyday lives.
4. Workplace in 2030
4.1. The skills needed in the workplace of the future are changing.
4.2. They are looking for people with higher cognitive skills, social and emotional skills and technological skills.
4.3. People entering the workforce today must be adaptable and innovative. They must unlearn old outdated methods and be able to learn the new ones.
4.4. They must be a lifelong learners and always be ready to learn something new.
