1. Normal Sinus
1.1. From SA Node
1.2. P wave before QRS
1.3. PR - 0.12 - 0.20
1.4. QRS - same shape and size - < 0.12
1.5. Rhythm = P-P & R-R; Regualr
1.6. Rate = 60 - 100 bpm
2. Premature Atrial Contraction
2.1. From Atria
2.2. P wave premature
2.3. PR interval varies
2.4. Usually followed by a pause
2.4.1. Compensatory if the next heart beat comes in on time
2.4.2. Non-Compensatory if the next heart beat doesn't come in on time
3. Atrial Tachycardia
3.1. From Atria
3.2. P wave before QRS
3.2.1. May be buried in preceding T wave
3.3. Rate = 151 - 250 bpm
4. Atrial Flutter
4.1. From Atria
4.2. P waves not present
4.3. Flutter waves
4.3.1. Saw toothed in shape; size may vary
4.4. PR interval cannot be measured
4.5. Rhythm regular except with varying block
4.6. Atrial Rate:
4.6.1. 250 - 350
4.7. Ventricular Rate:
4.7.1. 60 - 100
5. Atrial Fibrillation
5.1. From Atria
5.2. No distictive P wave
5.2.1. No PR interval
5.3. R - R irregular
5.4. Atrial Rate:
5.4.1. 350 - 500
5.5. Ventricular Rate:
5.5.1. < 60 = Slow ventricular response
5.5.2. 60 - 100 = Controlled A. Fib
5.5.3. 101 - 150 = Rapid ventricular response
5.5.4. > 150 = Uncontrolled A. Fib
