1.2. A very important feature of digipaks is the record label company featured, this also includes the copyright statement and the year of production.
1.3. The spine of the digipak is a feature that many disregard. Although, this is a very important feature, as it also fits its function when being placed on display - it would be the first element you see to the design.
1.4. Acknowledgements are often in very small print. Sometimes shown for individual songs, or sometimes within the inner panel of the digipak.
1.5. The inside and outside of the digipak must have a matching theme in order to keep the design consistent.
1.6. Often, the artist's name is the most prominent feature on the digipak, as the product is based around the promotion and recognition of the artist.
1.7. The typographic style of the artist is often featured throughout all of the artist's products, as a form of synergy.
2. Exclusivity
2.1. Digipaks enable an artists' audience to receive additional information regarding the artist. Some may even include unseen photoshoot images, unseen artwork, and often bonus tracks
3. Value
3.1. The use of a digipak adds value to the product itself (music). It's physical form is a modern approach to CD packaging.
3.2. As the product is tangible, value is its strongest selling point - a physical copy is often used as a collectible item.
